Description
This is a 1964 Jaguar Mk2 3. 4 litre MOD (manual with overdrive). First registered 2nd June 1964. Great registration number 100 FBX. An original 3. 4 and not a re-engined 2. 4. It has a lot of desirable features: early car with the bigger bumpers, Red in colour with red leather interior, 3. 4 litre engine, uprated 4 speed plus good working overdrive synchromesh gearbox, stainless steel exhaust, solid underside, rear wheel spats and those wonderful wire wheels. The interior is in excellent condition. Good leather on the seats and very good wood dash and cappings. It has had a new radiator, brakes, discs, pads, hoses, rubber seals, cooling fan, servo rebuild and new bushes. The engine and box are both strong performers with 60lb of oil pressure. The engine has just had a top end rebuild. The car was restored and painted in 2009/ 10. Unfortunately the car has seen little use since then and the paintwork is now showing some signs of age and could do with some love. However the car looks great once polished and could be used as is for now and improved over time. These cars regularly fetch £30k or more and it is priced to allow for the new owner to improve as and when they want to. An extra £5k spent would increase the value by £10k. Come and have a look for yourself.
