Description
Here we have a 1995 very highly spec'd Mercedes E320 Pillarless Coupe, metallic blue colour with tanned mushroom soft leather interior. This is a rare E320 Coupe with almost all factory extras when new including Automatic Limited slip Differential (ASD) (1 of only 3 in the UK fitted with this from factory). Full service history stamped in the Mercedes garage except last one and a folder full of receipts with substantial history from new.
I bought the car to restore back to original specification but ran out of time and energy. I paid £6k for the car and have spent £6370 on parts and restoration, which I will list further down.
The car drives beautifully, so much better than other examples I have driven including a lesser spec'd one priced at £18k a year ago in Newbury. The engine is in excellent condition, it runs smoothly, doesn’t burn oil and has perfect pressure.

Work that needs doing:
Welding around rear wheel arches and boot drain
Fix air-con condenser - ring type pipe on the side of the condenser part number Athe details below
Passenger electric wing mirror up/ down tilt not working
Driver side window seal has a small nic in it
Antenna doesn't extend
Air injection pump bearing / smog pump bearing gone, noisy on cold start (not essential and goes quiet after about 2 minutes)
Small dent in front wing to be pushed out
Boot seal
Steering Wheel - I put a non original wheel on but it is not correct as the horn doesn't work. The airbag is functional though. I have the original steering wheel and airbag (will come with the car) but the leather is not in good condition.
This a beautiful example of true appreciating classic car and an excellent project for the right person to continue the restoration.
