Description
Warwick GT restoration project for sale. One of only 16 known cars in the world and uses Triumph TR3 mechanicals, this is a very rare opportunity!
The GRP body is in excellent condition considering its age; sporting a bonnet scoop and an unusual (than standard) boot lid. Very little crazing on the shell and the doors closer well. Bonnet clam is in excellent condition with all the wheel arch edges crisp, not ragged or cut away.
The chassis is remarkably solid! solid enough that I can jack the car up which is pretty well unheard of on what, I assume, is an original chassis.
Engine is free and the interior is all complete although some dashboard clocks are missing/ incorrect and the wiring/ fuel lines/ brakes are incomplete but these are all obtainable from Triumph suppliers. Rear/ side glass is present, front screen is new and still in the wrapping.
Of course it would make a great foundation for a race car as these body shells are far stronger/ lighter than the Peerless Phase 1. The shell will lift off the chassis in two complete sections making it easier to clean up the chassis/ running gear etc. It could be converted to V8 at this point if you so wish.
The production run for these cars was very short lived, they only manufactured some 40 cars before going into receivership.
