Description
Please find for sale our beloved 1982 Range Rover. Being a 1982 that makes it one of the early official Rover 4 doors.
This certain example was a Fire Truck in Germany hence the very low milage. It drives superbly with all the charm, charisma and reassurance one could expect from such a truck.
Its equipped with the mighty Rover 3. 5 V8 running on twin Zenith Stromberg CD175 Carburettors and power reaches all four wheels through the most robust gearbox Land Rover ever used, the 4 speed LT95.
Countless hours and much love has been put into making the Range Rover perfect especially from a mechanical point of view. Very long lists of works carried out by ourselves have been maintained as to keep track of the, by now, semi restoration of the vehicle. As these lists would be very extensive and written in detail, they have not been included within this description however i can of course email them to anyone interested. The only thing that might seem awkward to some is the red (with white stripe) paint work that the Range Rover currently has due to its past Fire Truck duty.
While the truck remains under our ownership we will not seize adding and improving its condition to the very last detail as we absolutely love it. It poses as the best family truck and makes easy work of anything rough off the road. Load carrying capacity is the best along with the Land Rover 110. These were after all the number one vehicles for extremely rough expeditions the world over.
All in all, still after 42 years these vehicles cannot be beaten in their field of work. The best 4x4 x Far. Registered initially in Germany as a Fire Truck. Purchased by a private individual in Germany after it got retired and then was bought by a Land Rover specialist in the Netherlands on my behalf before getting transported to Greece.
The British Heritage Motor Museum Certificate is available and issued under the name of the Dutch Land Rover specialist i worked with. Present are also the period correct owners manuals in Dutch and German as we love collecting Land Rover and Range Rover memorabilia. The more modern equivalent of these manuals is available in English.
