1964 Lotus Cortina Pre-Aeroflow. Good, reliable and usable early model offered for sale. About 600 Pre-A cars made in in total, as a homologation for Group 2 racing. Definitely the one to have.
Original body shell, only some small rust repairs made underneath over the years.
Numbers matching engine block and cylinder head, close ratio gearbox, transmission and rear axle. A-frame rear suspension.
Few long time owners over the years. Wonderful patina. Repainted once in the early 1970s.
No garage queen, so it has some scratches etc.
Original glass except windshield. Original keys. Irvin seat belts.
A comprehensive mechanical restoration (for a lot of money) was made over a couple of years where everything was gone through. Runs beautifully.
Car is equipped with correct (replica) works Team Lotus bucket seats on tube frames and a number of original race parts to resemble Team Lotus works car BJH 417B. Original road car parts and some spare parts come with the car.
Original (yes) Alan Mann Racing aluminium fuel tank including all fittings. Tank was taken from KPU 390C - and installed in my car - in the 1970s when KPU 390C was owned by a Swedish owner.
