Talbot sunbeam gls reg no; Kdu 52v (proper coventry reg just like the rally cars)
first registered 9/ 1/ 1980
been in my collection since 2009 (but dry stored since 1984 hence the tax disc) and ive only done 114 miles in it in that time most of which was the last 18 months when i recomissioned it.
the shell is immaculate never been welded and will not need any welding as its been dry stored in my heated barn.
to recomission it it had 4 new tyres a brand new cd 175 stromberg carb and 2 new lucas h4 headlights it then sailed though its mot and i took it too a few local shows.
without doubt must be the best and lowest mileage unrestored sunbeam gls left.
i have a 4 post ramp on site and welcome any inspection you could drive this home anywhere it is that good. there are lots of lotus's around and a few ti's but there are virtually no gls's left. You turn up to a show and people remember these cars as there mom. Dad. Grandad. Uncle etc had one they went on holiday in one very few people have those memories of a lotus as very few people had one. This is a true useable time capsule the auto box and the 175 stromberg mean it easily keeps up in the modern world.
for those in the know the combination of a mint gls auto shell and a coventry reg may prove to tempting to keep it as is but thats up to you.
