Description
This is a four owner car bought by myself 5 years ago from a private owner. It has won many times at club and local classic car meets and a viewing will tell you why. It was originally manufactured for America and was left hand drive. Came back to the UK, 22nd January 1993 where it was converted to right hand drive by MG specialists - Naylor Brothers of Shipley Yorkshire. All of this is well documented in a large history folder. It was on the TD Register and previous owner was a member of the Octagon Club. The mileage of 11342 can not be verified from the history folder, but the way it drives it has certainly had an engine rebuild at some time. It has no unwanted noises and does not smoke on acceleration or overrun. The car is original and is in very good condition inside and out. It has a heater. A remote servo is fitted, but never connected. My wife and I have now reached the age of 70 and this is a sad sale, but unfortunately we can no longer enjoy this lovely car due to our age. We would like it to go to another MG enthusiast to enjoy and at this price we know we are losing money, but it it too good not to be used. It is not concourse but very close. The one problem I have never got around to fixing is that it does leak oil from the rear crank seal. But apart from this you can drive and enjoy straightaway. This is one TD that is worth a viewing and a drive to appreciate what a fine car it is. Has always been garaged in my ownership and by the previous owner. Before purchase I had no intention of purchasing a MG TD, but when I saw this one, the colour and condition made it impossible to resist, so when my wife said we must have it (unusual I know), the deal was done. It always turns heads and many happy hours have been had talking to people about it and when they had one. We have completed many club runs and have toured Devon/ Cornwell without it missing a beat. One can feel proud to own a classic car in this condition. If I could turn the clock back to when we were younger, we would not be selling this great car.
Many following on our club MG runs have been surprised at how well it gets along, especially up hills, This is down to the brilliant Xpag engine. Being retired viewing or contact can be made done at any time.
