Championship winning MK2 Ford Fiesta XR2 Race Car
1600cc CVH blueprinted engine on 5-speed box fitted with Tran-X platted LSD. 4-2-1 wrapped manifold connected to Maniflow exhaust system. Large alloy radiator, braided fuel and brake lines, nylon bushes all round, Proflex 3-way adjustable front and Leda rear shock absorbers, 13” Supersport wheels fitted with Yokohama AO48 tyres, new bearings and hubs all round & uprated rear beam.
Inside the car is fitted with a Cobra Evolution seat with 3” TRS harness (dated till 2025), carbon style door cards and dash with full set of Stack gauges, quick release steering wheel, B&M quick shift and lightly tinted windows. Standard heater box, Varley redtop battery, Lifeline 4ltr plumbed in extinguisher dated till June 2024. Currently fitted with Sparco Pro2000 passenger’s seat and 3” TRS harness, GoPro hard-wired camera with remote start and power supply.
The shell has a full welded in Custom Cage with triangulation to front turrets and strut braces, seam-welded shell, no corrosion at all and has always been kept inside.
This car was built and run by a family that have been racing MK2 fiestas for over 20yrs. This car represents the pinnacle of what they have learned and developed over the years, you will not find a more capable race car of it’s kind. Used in the Ford XR Challenge for the last few years and having recently taken the Class A titles in 2021 & 2022, with numerous wins, poles and fastest laps achieved. This car has been maintained regardless of cost, it’s reliability speaks for itself.
Suitable for use in the 750MC Classic Stock Hatch or Modified Ford Series amongst others, or just a fantastic trackday car. This car is absolutely ready to race with a few good MK2 fiesta spares as well. We bought the car for my son to use, however hes decided to go a different motorsport route now, hence for sale.
