Description
This 1958 Jaguar Mk. 1 is presented in Sherwood Green with contrasting tan leather interior and colour coded wire wheels. The coachwork is in excellent condition with factory seams and panel fit. The doors shut with a reassuringly clunk when released from a few inches in the open position. There are no signs of any bubbling or issues throughout.
The undersides are also excellent and well treated with wax every year.
The interior has a lovely patina to it. The woodwork having turned to a gorgeous reddy brown. The seats a remarkably comfortable and present very well. For safety, and at great expense, inertia seat belts have been fitted to the front and rear. The rears being discreetly hidden and guided by chrome escutcheons. The headling is like new.
On opening the bonnet, you are presented with that gorgeous 3. 4 litre engine; a space that always receives gasps and positive comments.
Mechanically, the is in very good order and starts easily, whether winter or summer. The gears change easily and the disc brakes on all four corners, that are virtually new, pull the car up very sharply; much to the surprise of many moderns.
The five wire wheels have recently been fitted with new Blockley tyres. This has transformed the handling and the ease to manoeuver at low speeds.
This example is present with all of its tools/ Jack etc. It also comes with a history file that contains a Heritage Certificate, old MoT test certificates,, invoices and has a UK V5C registration document with original Coventry registration plate.
There is so much more I could add and she certainly attracts attention wherever she goes. So, I think it's best that the car is viewed rather than to speculate. It will not disappoint. Please, if you are serious please pick up the phone and have a conversation. Thank you for taking the time to read this advert.
