I have owned this beautiful Cabriolet for 10 years. In that time it has never broken down or stranded me.
Undersealed 8 years ago, there is litle or no body/ shell rust and the paint is original from the Factory.
Smooth, powerful and sophisticated, the 2. 5L straight six engine is an absolute delight (any test is welcome) and the gearbox is still "snicky" and as crisp as when I bought it.
I treated it to a new fabric hood.
It was mothballed for the past 4 years, yet started at the first turn ! The car has been fettled back onto the road, complete with MOT test, by Quest Brothers Classic Cars (QBCC) on 20. 06. 2024
When I bought it (from a young enthusiast whose wife was expecting their first baby for which [she said] a Cabriolet was not suitable.)
I took it to the BMW main dealer in Cambourne for its first MOT test under my care. Not only did it PASS but there were NO advisories. That is when I realsied what a gem I had!
After a recent lay-up for health reasons, QBCC replaced the front brakes and the battery and gave it a thorough service. They also replaced an ABS pump and renewed the Brake Fluid. I LOVE driving it. Country lanes winding away as far as the eye can see; the powerful burble of the exhaust note, the amazing brakes and sparkling acceleration sing to my soul. A full 4 seater, the Cabriolet combines the look and fun of a Sports car with great practicality.
At this mileage it still has a long life as a good/ fun car to drive and, when the time comes, would be perfect for a restoration. All the numbers match and I have the service record and owner's handbook from new and FSH since.
This beautiful and practical little car is a great one for both now and the future, as prices are shooting up and "good" ones are increasingly rare.
Pick of the bunch, this is the 325i Cabriolet in all its sparkly blue glory... A true Classic you could enjoy everyday!
I have full service history and many other documents (including the bill of sale when I bought it in 2014
Also with the car comes the full original sales pack with Owner's manual, Service book and loads of other stuff I have never read!
