Description
My father has owned his Jaguar XKR since July 2016, covering just 7, 000 miles in that time. The current mileage is at 104, 837 and he is the 5th keeper. Sadly, due to increasingly poor health, he is unable to drive and it is available for sale.
The car was first registered in October 2000 and is a MY2001 facelift example. There is an extensive history folder, including work carried out by the previous owner.
A large (and not inexpensive) job with the 4. 0 supercharged engine is to replace the timing chains and tensioners. This was carried out by a Jaguar specialist in July 2019 at 102, 419 miles. A new supercharger (plus ancillaries) was supplied in March 2019 at a cost of over £2000 (plus fitting).
The current MOT is valid until 24 July 2025. Some welding work was necessary on the chassis, as shown on the MOT history.
Mechanically, the car is in good condition. It drives very smoothly, with a surplus of performance and stopping power. The interior is in a similarly fine presentation. Cosmetically, the bodywork requires some attention, in particular around the rear arches (a common issue to affect the X100 model).
The Jaguar is standard, with the exception of a stainless steel exhaust system. A new roof lining was created and installed by respected trimmer, Dave Haden. It has4 matching tyres and a new battery has just been fitted.
The car is located in Aldridge, West Midlands and is available to view.
Thank you.
