A beautiful original example of this 1964 Chrysler New Yorker sedan in Rosewood Metallic. Original colour with a factory matching Rosewood brocade and vynil interior. Matching factory carpets and door cards ! Factory headlining too all original to the car. Passenger grab handle , an optional square Chrysler steering wheel in ivory with a chrome horn ring. Factory radio and ariel. Electric windows x 4 . Push button torqueflite transmission and Heater controls. Very "Flash Gordon" a full instrument round dial dash panel . Padded dash in a deep burgundy. Tinted glass. Very good visibility with the semi wrap around windscreen. No cracks ! A very comfortable bench seat interior with arm rests front and rear! Everything works with a very powerful Heater. Factory spare tyre from October 1963 still hard and in good condition. Boot carpet and cardboard in very good condition! All tools jack etc present and correct. The boot is vast and very accommodating! She on a 122 inch wheelbase. A very strong unit bodied car that was factory unsealed from new by Chrysler! The hubcaps are colour keyed to the car. She's powered by a 423 cu in wedge V8 with a 4 bbl carburettor and is rated at 340 bhp. She's fast and furious when she needs to be! A very spacious car that handles well with torsion bar front suspension. She has excellent power brakes too ! Radial white wall tyres.
A very dignified mid sixties American car with class and in a truly beautiful colour combo! She had a quality paint job in the States 25 years ago in the original colour and the paint is still very good today!! The chrome, bumpers and grille are all in fabulous condition on this very low milage survivor car! A full history from day one car here ! Thanks for interest. This particular Chrysler New Yorker was purchased new in early October 1963. The original bill of sale from Chrysler is present along with all the original paper items that came with this car when new! She came from Ohio hence the factory underseal as previously mentioned. Absolutely no corrosion issues with this very well looked after example with under 22, 000 miles from new!! She's fitted with a rear window demister with a two speed blower a rare option! A remote control drivers mirror and matching passenger mirror too. Again none of these items were standard, all optional extras etc.. reversing lights all working and a loud horn too! We purchased her in 2013 in Sweden and she is currently Swedish registered! We have used her for American car shows in Sweden over the years! Last month we drove her 600 miles with no issues etc! On a long run she's good for 18 mpg at 50 mph ! The New Yorker was featured in Classic American Magazine in 2014 here in the UK . She did spend a few years in the UK and was UK registered. But she is now back in Sweden and fully Swedish registered now. Any interested UK buyers she would be a normal import from an EU country back to the UK etc. One could drive her back or use a shipping company!
