For sale my Citroen AX Debut 954cc 1995.
MOT to 5/ 8/ 2025 with no advisories.
In my ownership since May 2015. Has been 100% reliable and been on some long journeys as very comfortable. She has been driven carefully but will sit at 70 mph on the motorway if needed.
Everything working as it should.
I have spent a lot of time on her over the last 9+ years.
No 5 door 954 cc cars were imported to the UK with a 5 speed gearbox but this one has the extra gear which makes it a more pleasant drive. Although a base debut model it also has tinted glass and an upgraded interior of echo specification.
At 125, 000 miles I installed a 3 piece clutch kit, changed the cambelt, new calipers and pads, rear shoes, handbrake cables, front shock absorber and exhaust. I have just replaced a driveshaft and hub. At the same time I removed the head, de-coked it, re-seated the valves and installed new valve stem seals. I cleaned the underside and sprayed liberally with waxoyl. The underside is very clean.
It has 5 very good tyres and the jack and wheel brace are present.
The car has an aftermarket stereo but I have the original radio cassette with code if required, these are quite scarce.
There are 2 keys, possibly more.
The original handbooks and some receipts are present. This is a great driving car and is cheap to insure. It is used regularly but sparingly. The bodywork is now getting on for 30 years old and has the original paint except for the tailgate which I broke and had to replace. The car gets lots of attention but the body is not perfect as there are scratches and chips, especially on the roof, and some small dents on a few panels but not too noticeable. The front bumper was cracked and this has been repaired but is noticeable. The body is solid and there are no leaks. The interior is very good for the age with no tears or stains on the upholstery. The rear seats are like new and the front have barely any wear.
