Description
Francis Barnett Fulmar90 Sports 1963. Ex Irish GPO with Buff Tax book and Letter confirming release from GPO. Bike was imported to Ireland from Francis Barnett as parts and assembled in Ireland by Thomson assemblers to avoid import taxes and provide jobs in Ireland.
The bike has all original paintwork, decals, seat and tyres. A sympathetic restoration is required to preserve the patina and originality.
This was the last new model from Francis Barnett with a spine frame, pressed steel bodywork, leading link forks and 149cc AMC engine. Production of Francis Barnett motorcycles continued until 4 August 1966 when Francis Barnett ceased to exist
The Sports 90 model is rare and it's link to the Irish GPO makes it a very special and unique piece of Irish and automotive history
