Description

The Kawasaki Z900 A4 was released in 1976 and was the fourth generation of the Z900 series. It was a major update over the previous model, with a number of improvements to the engine, chassis, and suspension. The chassis was also strengthened, with thicker tubing used in the frame and swingarm. The forks were redesigned, and the rear shocks were now adjustable for preload and rebound. The brakes were also improved, with twin disc brakes at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The Z900 A4 was a critical and commercial success, and it is now considered to be one of the most iconic motorcycles of the 1970s. It was a fast, powerful, and well-handling machine that offered excellent value for money. First registered on 18th April 1976 in Italy, this is a totally original example in excellent condition with only 19, 000miles (30k Kilometres) recorded. (Original Kilometre speedometer supplied.) Only 30 miles on mph speedo fitted 6 years ago.
Registered on Italy's FMI Historic register for bikes in original, well maintained condition with FMI certificate & brass plaque included. One Italian owner from new until I sourced & imported the bike in 2018 to add to my collection. It was MOT'd & V5C registered Historic in my name in August 2018 with only 3miles on mph speedometer. Tax & MOT exempt & cheaper classic insurance.

Engine & frame vin stamps are in correct factory pairing. Original Kawasaki 4 into 4 exhausts, Takasago wheel rims & untouched original diamond dark green paintwork. Complete with original toolkit, owners manual, undertail tray & trumpet air filter. Fuel tank is spotless clean with no signs of corrosion.

The bike has been dry stored in a heated garage, but now with fresh brake fluid, new bridgestone tyres, new battery with optimiser & connection, new oil & filters, carburettors cleaned & new service kits installed (incl fuel tap) it's now ready to hit the road while the sun shines.

Starts on the button & runs very well.

In my 6 years of ownership it has been ridden extremely rarely with less than 30 miles covered & now, as a retired engineer, I seem to have less time to ride it & hence the reason for the reluctant sale. Only one Italian owner from new & I am the only UK owner, this bike is a totally original example of the Z900 A4
