For sale is our beloved 1972 Volkswagen T2 bay window camper, Helga. She’s been a cherished part of our family since the late 90s, and we’re sad to let her go, but with family changes, it's time for her to find a new home.
Helga is a rare find with the Dormobile conversion, preserving original features and accessories. Inside, she still has her original hob and grill, sink, cool box with removable baskets, table, and two buddy seats that fold away. We updated the bed/ sofa with new foam in 2021, but kept the original setup. There are also two top bunks and storage via cupboards.
She runs well with a VW 1. 6 air-cooled engine, which starts up smoothly. Her original red and white stripe Dormobile roof stands out in any field, and we had the bodywork redone in 2013.
Helga comes with an awning for extra outdoor space and we have two keys for her. She might not be in perfect condition, but with some TLC, she has the potential to be one of those £20k+ vintage campers.
