Description

This is a late 1967 MG B, first reg in early 1968. This car has been well maintained with documented service history for many years. The body was restored in the late 1990's early 2000's. It holds huge history records with photos and invoices. Its has been cherished by me since I bought it in 2019.

A lot has been spent to put it right. The engine is a 18 GA and has been rebuilt with genuine build kit, new cooling including a new oil inter-cooler, water pump and pipes, ignition timing set and fan replaced, and adequate refurbished carburetors and new fuel pump.
New exhaust manifold along with a complete stainless steel line.
Settings, checks and carburetor balance have been performed by a well renowned classic car professional. Invoices provided for all parts purchased and work performed by professionals covering more than £10k over my ownership.

The body is finished in Tartan Red in good overall conditions, while retaining some marks. The black leather interior with red pipping shows a nice patina that is perfectly suited to the age of the car, while showing no tears or signs of cracking. Seats adjustment rails are operational and the back holds a seat cushion in accordance to the front seats. The carpets and interior trimmings are in very good condition, all being about ten years old. The floors are protected with very good quality rubber mats.
The trunk is also completely covered in good quality carpet, identical to that of the passenger compartment.
The 5 painted spoke wheels were replaced with new ones, as well as new tires recently mounted.
The hood has been advantageously replaced by a mohair hood, fixed on a folding hoop for greater ease of use. The original hoop, removable in two parts, as well as the vinyl hood are supplied as spare parts.

On the road this MG B is excellent, the engine pulls very well, with a good cooling staying on or below the N indicator and excellent oil pressure of 50/ 55 psi. The four speed gearbox is in good conditions, the car feels tight and precise with excellent road holding and brakes pull up sharp.

This is an appreciating classic that offers excellent value for money with no major work required in the short term. – it's ready to drive away and enjoy.

This magnificent MG B offers excellent reliability, and has recently covered long trips, including abroad participating in a gala and touristic cruising trips. It is ready to cover any distance, as well as to be admired by your loved ones and offer you incomparable driving pleasure.
Another glitch to some modernity is the classic looking radio, that holds a USB connection, DAB radio and a Bluetooth connection for your phone. As a pure fan of British Motoring, the MG B is the iconic classic to own to enjoy at a fair running cost. The availability of parts and the huge number of amateurs is really an asset if anything is to happen. The combination of the Tartan Red body, the black leather interior and the mohair hood gives her a magnificent appeal and makes her a real head turner.

Whatever it would become your first classic or an addition to your already geared up garage, this MG B is the one you will keep using with your mind at peace.

I still truly love it, but unfortunately I have to come to this reluctant sale to fund other projects, the Uni for daughter being one of them.
