Iv owned this golf for the last couple of years and sadly not had the opportunity to enjoy as much as it deserves. I purchased for a friend that has has it in the family for 10+ years and cherished it keeping it dry stored for the majority of ownership. I have continued this trend only recently bringing it from storage to have it detailed ready for sale.
This is a fantastic example of the classic Mk3 Gti finished in bright Tornado Red with black cloth recaro interior.
The paintwork is in exceptional condition for its age showing no dulling or fading common with red coloured classic cars. A true testament to the care that the car has had over the years. The interior repeats this level of care with the recaro seats having been mainly used with seat covers during the last few owners and showing little to no signs of wear to the bolsters and seat bases, the rear seats look as though they have never been used!
The car sports a set of period Schmidt Modernline alloy wheels in 16 inch with correct center caps and all tyres in very good condition. It's lowered on a set of adjustable Coilovers providing a firm but supple ride. There is a stack of history with the car including a rolling road printout showing a healthy 121 hp back in 2008. It is fitted with an aftermarket Cat back exhaust system giving a healthy note to the peppy 2. 0 litre engine
There is plenty of previous service history supplied with the car including a duplicate service book stamped from 2004 till present including history of 2 cambelt changes, the most recent being in 2022 at 100k miles.
The car has just undergone some light commissioning work after it's period of storage including a fresh service, CV joint and gaitor and front engine mount. It's also had a brand new battery and a Full clean bill of health from its latest MOT last month ready for the new owner.
This is and has been an enthusiast owned car for the majority of its life and is one of the best examples I have seen and owned from a long list of Mk3 Golfs.
