BSA Lightning built in 1965 but not registered until 1969. - Complte restorationBSA Lightning built in 1965 but not registered until 1969.
It has been completely restored at a cost of circa £8, 000.
The engine has been professionally rebuilt with new pistons, valves, big ends and bearings, crank reground and balanced and it has been converted to run on lead free petrol.
I spent about £8, 000 on the restoration and have all receipts. The bike has been converted to 12v electrics and has electronic ignition. It is fitted with Avon Roadrunner tyres.
Since being rebuilt it passed the MOT and has done less than 100 miles. It has been stored for some time so will need a re-commissioning service before being used.
