1994 E280 estate
This has been my weekend driver and holiday car for a couple of years. It's absolutely beautiful to drive, smooth and 30mpg on the motorway.
In my ownership I have addressed all of the common issues listed below.
MOT until Nov 2024.
Silky smooth 2. 8 straight-six and 4 speed automatic gearbox.
Electric windows, sunroof, soft close tailgate and central locking all working. Cruise works 50/ 50.
Works carried out in the last couple of years:
-Subframe removed, re-bushed Inc diff mounts, painted..
-Handbrake shoes
-Various brake pipes.
-New discs all round
-Front anti roll bar bushes, inner and outer
-Engine and gearbox oil and filter changes
-Spark plugs
-Engine wiring loome
-Throttle body rewired by si-lek
-Headgasket last year and engine re-seal
-Jacking points and under washer bottle welded and painted.
-Front exhaust section / cat
-Modern Bluetooth radio
-New genuine Mercedes front speakers
So as you can see this is a very sound basis to either use as-is, or try to make perfect.
It should still be considered a car that can be improved upon, as are most 124's, the main points that need attention are...
-Imperfections around the bodywork, front wings/ paint could be improved.
-Front windscreen has some delamination on the sides
This is a unique opportunity to buy a rare e280 estate with this much work so recently completed and a HUGE history file.
It will be sold with it's original leather steering wheel, not the wood one pictured.
