Description
Phase 1 Renault 25 V6 Turbo. A very rare car now in the UK which is why I imported this one from the South of France a couple of years ago. As it has spent it's life down in the south of France there is little to no rust, it has never been welded and does not require any. I have spent small fortune on this car as I had been after one for many years as I had one back in the 90's and always promised myself another. In my ownership it has had the wheels reconditioned and new Avon tyres, new rear discs, pads and calipers. A new windscreen and seal, new old stock genuine RHD headlights and lots more. When I got it the bonnet was damaged so I sourced a replacement in France but it wasn't in the best condition and there are a few rust bubbles coming through and this is the only rust on the car. It runs and drives well and pretty much everything works. I have even replaced the voice synthesiser with one that speaks English but the French computer comes with the very large spares package. It has always sounded a little lumpy on idle and I have repalce the plugs, leads, distributor cap. I also swapped the injectors with a good secondhand set. It has good even compression on all cylinders so I am not sure if it is much of a problem or not. The speares package includes a spare engine with reconditioned cylinder heads. A full gasket set, new clutch, new slave cylinder, new front pads and discs, some suspension joints and a lower suspension arm. There are a load of electrical manuals as well. I just don't seem to be able to find the time to use the car so I am testing the water to see if I can find it a new home where it will get used. The personal plate does not come with it and will be removed before sale. Mot is until October '25It's a 25 V6 Turbo is reason enough to love it. In it's day this car was dearer than a Cosworth and not far behind in performance being capable of in excess of 140mph when new
