Although not complete, there is a large file of invoices relating to the rebuild. USU 953 is now a very attractive car receiving admiring looks wherever we go and that wonderful wrap around Coupe rear window gives exceptional visibility at any junction. It is easy to see how the body was designed with a view to racing at Le Mans. The engine work makes the car very driveable, not feeling out of place in modern traffic. The HR270 camshaft is a tried and trusted addition which improves the performance on the road. The Ford gearbox ratios are very close to the original MGA ones but with the addition of a 5th gear taking the strain off the engine.
