Description
1956 Morris Traveller for sale.
We have owned ‘Daisy’ for over 55 years now. She’s always been kept in the garage, and beautifully maintained throughout the years. She was originally owned by the RAF ( Hence the colour) with I believe 1 other owner in between the RAF and ourselves. The car has been kept in almost completely original condition. As you can see from the pictures, the Trafficators have been replaced, however they are still in their original position behind the covers. The seats have been recovered appropriately 5 years ago and carpets replaced. The car was also resprayed around 30 years ago and is still in good condition throughout. The woodwork is still original and also in good condition. The floor and underside of the car have been looked after and maintained throughout. We are formally members of the Morris Minor Owners Club. She has always been serviced, and MOT’d for piece of mind. The last service and mot in July 2024. We have many service documents for the car but not all to hand as yet. Any spare parts we have can also come with the car.
Unfortunately, the time has now come for a new custodian of our beautiful car to hopefully enjoy and look after as much as we have. We Bought Daisy at the time our family was growing, as our old Mini was no longer suitable. She was used as a second car, taking us away to our caravan on the south coast annually. Used in later years on Club Runs with the Morris Minor Owners Club, and days out. The car comes with its original 1956 Bartholomews Road Atlas. It’s been very well used and probably not that accurate these days, but a nice piece of history to stay with the car. She also appeared, albeit briefly in the film ‘The Boat That Rocked’ you can see her in the ‘Picnic’ Picture above. A long day for only a short second in the film, but good fun all the same. She starts first time and still drives beautifully.
