Description
Cirtroën 2CV AZU, with maintenance bills and service history. Very rare 1966, 4 seats, 6 Volts model. I am its second owner. With Spanish Historical registration plate. In really good condition and ready to enjoy.
>Documentation :
Delivered new as a private owner car. In March 2024 the vehicle has undergone a meticulous revision process by engineers in order to be included in the register of Spanish Historic Vehicles, which certificates the very good condition and authenticity of the vehicle. The vehicle historical registration plate number is H4851BBH. The yellow round “VH” shown in the pictures indicates it. ITV (Spanish MOT) due every 4 years (next ITV in 2028). Does not pay road tax (In Spain).
The following documents are delivered with the vehicle:
-Report prior to the cataloguing of the historic vehicle carried out by engineers to convert it into a historic vehicle.
-Sheet of the results of the MOT inspection for the historic vehicle.
-Certificate of authenticity of the historic vehicle.
-Resolution of the Dirección General de Indústria, which proves the classification of the vehicle as historic.
-Technical data sheet of the vehicle.
-Vehicle registration certificate.
>Restoration and maintenance:
Completely restored and overhauled in 2020. The restoration was done with care and craftsmanship. Most parts are original, including chassis and engine.
Newly painted in the original colour AC 606 “Bleu Glacier". The paint looks beautiful with, of course, a certain amount of patina, as it intended to be a commercial vehicle. Please see pictures to see details.
Rims have been newly painted and new tyres have been fitted. The AZU body received an extense anti-corrosion treatment with zinc phosphate epoxy primer and the underside received a new anti-corrosion bitumen paint.
The interior is in excellent condition. The floor is covered with a nice new wear-resistant rubber mat as protection. The dashboard is original and the upholstery is new, with “Bleu Bayadere” seats. The floors are in really good condition, so the Fourgonette is ready for years of driving pleasure. Front seat belts are present.
The AZU has been excellently maintained; just 50 km ago, a major service was carried out.
The following list shows the new parts fitted and services carried out since 2020:
Engine bay:
-Engine oil and air filter oil change.
-New fuel filters and air filter cleaning.
-Change of ignition contacts, ignition coil and condenser.
-Ignition timing
-Carburettor cleaning and adjustment.
-New battery
-New warm air channeling tubes for the cabin
Transmission
-Gearbox cleaning with special cleaning solvent and new gearbox oil.
-Greasing of axle shafts, new axle shaft bellows.
-Greasing of wheel bearings.
Steering and suspension:
-Lubrication of suspension cylinders, steering and suspension pivots and ball joints.
-Adjustment of vehicle position and height.
Brakes:
-New master cylinder brake pump, brake fluid reservoir and brake cylinder rubbers.
-New brake hoses
-New metal brake hoses
-Brake fluid change
-Lubrication with copper grease at brake shoe pivot points, lubrication and adjustment of handbrake.
Bodywork and paintwork:
-Corrosion protection of bodywork with zinc phosphate epoxy primer.
-Painting with original colour "bleu glacier" AC606.
-Underbody protection against corrosion with bituminous paint.
-New front rubber mudguards.
Interior:
-Intensive cleaning.
-New original "Bleu bayadere" style seats.
-Renewal of door panels and sun visors.
-New one-piece extra hard-wearing rubber carpet covering the entire interior.
-Completion of paintwork details such as door locks, dashboard, mirrors and others.

It includes the instruction manual and the original tool kit of the vehicle, consisting of a spark plug spanner, spanner for hexagonal nuts, screwdriver, mechanical jack, wooden block for the wheel, tool to remove wheels and start the vehicle manually. Also included is the grille cover, to be used when the ambient temperature is below 0ºC.
The 2CV starts immediately and runs very well, it's a pleasure to drive it and see people smiling along the way. Ideal as a company / promotional car for your shop or business. Very charming, no superfluous stuff and easy to maintain. And very scarce, but with a fair price.
