Description
The car has been prepared as a road-legal track car and used for 4-5 track days a year since 2020. Interior has been stripped out and fitted with Monaco bucket seats, a half roll cage and TRS 4-point harnesses. The battery has been moved to a box between the front seats.
The engine has been regularly serviced and has been fitted with stiffer engine mounts, a 4-2-1 manifold (the car also comes with the original cat and manifold, and a spare 100 cell downpipe), a lightened flywheel, and a cone filter air intake. The gearbox has been recently rebuilt with an MFactory helical LSD and new driveshafts. The engine remains on the standard ECU and mapping meaning it still has the original immobiliser working and has never presented any mechanical problems. The timing chain and tensioner were replaced 2 years ago with the coolant being replaced at the same time.
For the suspension, the rear upper arms have been replaced with adjustable units and with adjustable camber bolts at the front. Suspension all round is by Meister R coil overs with a fast road geometry setup and stiffer anti-roll bars front and rear with new drop links. All of the brake callipers have recently been rebuilt and the brake fluid replaced regularly.
The original alloys (slightly tatty but serviceable) are fitted with fairly fresh Continental tyres (used in the wet) and there is also a set of well-used Goodyear slicks on Rota Torque alloys.
Finally the front bumper has been drilled for brake ducts which are not currently fitted and there is no rust on the car. I bought this car as an excellent and cheap track car. It has great handling and grip in dry and wet. It has put a smile on my face every track day and has been very reliable. It has not been embarrassed by far more expensive machinery! I am moving on to hill climb racing and do not have space for both cars, hence the sale.
