Description
Lancia Beta Montecarlo Spyder, 1978, ‘S’ registration in red. I bought this car last year from a chap that intended to finish recommissioning it after purchasing from Matthewsons Classic Car Auctions. Over the two and a half years that he owned it, he has spent £6500 with various work on brakes, electrics, and other mechanical work required. When I took ownership, I have had electronic ignition fitted ( 123 Ignition programmable distributor set up) , along with upgraded coil, HT leads etc. I’ve also treated the interior to a much needed upgrade, which now is a lovely full red leather retrim to the seats and door cards. I’ve got the car to a stage that it’s pretty much completely finished, other than the odd very minor cosmetic jobs ( something to allow the new owner to tinker with)
The car now drives great, and comes with the optional ‘double bubble’ hard top . The vinyl roof folds back and store easily too. The car can come with its original bow tie 13” wheels, or the 15” Remotec that are pictured. The car has been on a ramp and it is extremely solid underneath. ( it was restored and resprayed in circa 1996 but dry stored since then ) it’s had a new timing belt just a few months ago, and is ready to attend some car shows! ( it won Car if the Show at a local classic car show near Harrogate last month!) Very reluctant sale . Registered as Historic status so it’s both tax and MOT exempt
