Over the period of our families ownership the car has undergone a full body restoration and in more recent times a major mechanical overhaul at the MGOC Workshop - cost £5792. 50.
The car is in good condition with good oil pressure, working 3rd 4th overdrive. The car comes with a tonneau cover. The speedo shows 02825, it has gone over the 100, 000 in our ownership. Owned by me and my father since 1985, I still have the auto trader advert from when we bought the car. We undertook a full restoration, new wings all round, sills and floors, chrome etc and the car became my daily driver. When I got a company car at the end of 1989 my father couldn't bare to see the car go and bought it from me. He then used the car on high days and holidays until he could no longer drive. In 2003 on his death the car was transferred into my name and then used over the following years in the summer months. In 2017 we decided to give the car a major mechanical overhaul at the MGOC workshop (bill £5792. 95) the car also had some upgrades eg an electric cooling fan was fitted. The car resumed service for me and my son. We had some work on the clutch hydraulics last year and an MOT for peace of mind. Last autumn after moving to a house with a much smaller garage we no longer have the space to keep the car (it's a very tight fit). My son has the bug and has bought a lotus. As a result it is time to sell the car, hopefully for another family to make happy sunny day memories.
