Description
Moto Guzzi Cafe sport Model 2003,
PLEASE READ THE ADVERT TO THE END , THANK YOU.
Been in my possession for 8 years and barely ridden it.
this is the top of the range with Ohlins suspension front and back, together with the steering damper, the full package all fitted as standard on this model, the most high end bike of the V2 range.
It has the removable seat cowling so you can utilise the pillion seat if need be.
It was also fitted from new with the option of the Moto Guzzi Titanium oval silencers which are sublime beautiful items and impossible to find now, masterpieces!
Also fitted with the option of the "racing" ECU, hardly a bike to take to the race track but this addition definitely smooths out power delivery for a much more subtle ride quality.
Present of course are the V5 in my name , 2 keys, original toolkit, service book and various other pieces of information including a CD service manual.
Maybe I could be considered OCD but all the bikes I've owned have been coveted as you will see if you wish to view the bike, over time I have brought things up to scratch/ improved certain items that in my opinion fall by the wayside during production, these include the following;
rear footrest hangers/ battery cradle / bar end weights/ alternator cover/ and new bolts./ the small bracket for the Ohlins reservoir / all Plastic coated by Goldburn finishers in Hants.
Also fitted the rear rack, a useful item, this has been powder coated in bronze.
The rear brake protector has been powder coated in silver.
The carbon fibre front mudguard and the 2 side panels (with mg logos) have been lacquered to the maximum standard by Art Attack in Plymouth, as has the beautiful front cowling, unmarked of course.
All the Tyco relays positioned under the seat have been changed to Omron higher spec items from Motra Tech USA.(very easy access unlike modern bikes, as is the battery)
Other items improved as follows'
newer rear light lens, stainless fasteners, newer front wheel spindle larger nut, front brake switch, new ratchet spring to gearbox selector (Redline shockproof heavy duty gear oil)
Moto Corsa checked the valve clearances at 11, 142 miles and set up injection and calibration,, new rear tyre at 11, 400 as it had a nail puncture and i didn't want to plug it.
This v2 was not subject to a con rod recall as it is a later model V2 so no concerns there.
Just to add there is no bubbling paint on the engine as per most of the v2 range, probably due to being in a heated garage.
It has a brand new Yuasa Battery fitted.
Only item still on the agenda is the MOT TODAY 27/ 07/ 2024.
Only minuscule downside is some slight flaking of paint on the front brake reservoir cap, and the usual small imperfections to the "Pork chops" or footrest hangers from ever day use with boots.
To sum up , A high end v2 cafe sport , one of only 5 I believe in the uk, and this one with some nice refinements resulting in probably the best available anywhere in the world and with super low mileage, no scratches no dents no corrosion, perfect wheel rims etc .
I think I've covered most things, any questions please contact me with the remote phone number on the site or message me through the chat box on the car and classic site , please do not message me "IS THE BIKE STILL FOR SALE" when a deposit has been taken then the bike will be removed from the site immediately , if you are reading this advert then the bike is up for sale.
No test pilots, bike is original and fully functional with beautiful upgrades, but still in 'original' condition, a very rare bike , of course HPI Clear, no outstanding finance, the bike is legally in my possession. v 5 in my name etc etc.
Thank you for reading my advert
