FIA Lotus 23B prepared and developed to the highest standard and correct in every detail. Well known and a regular in the hugely popular Guards Trophy and eligible for the Gurney Cup at the Goodwood Members meeting having attended the 80th MM.
The car was subject to a nut and bolt build in 2018 with almost every part replaced and new. The Full race all Steel twincam was rebuilt over the winter for the 2024 season including many brand new parts with a rolling road max power of 176 BHP and built with torque in mind to maximise the exit of slower corners. The correct Mk6 Hewland box was again fitted with brand new internals and refreshed for this season. The car has been continually developed and is very light.
FIA Technical Passport until 2029 and on the button. The car is in use and entered for the Croft Nostalgia meeting in August and available to be viewed and discussed.
The car has history back to its origins as a Lotus 23 in 1967 where it was converted in to a one off sports racer and then in to a group 6 car. It was then dismantled in the early 1990's and stored until we acquired it in 2018 and set about returning it to its former glory. As a consequence it doesnt have a chassis number - But is accepted at the most prestigious events.
