Selling our beloved Beach Buggy, 1600cc beetle engine, tax and Mot exempt, wrapped in metallic blue, period Hella spot lamps on the roll bar, custom trimmed leather/ vinyl with blue inserts and badge embroidery, chrome engine bits, wide wheels, runs and drives well, new coil fitted, I dare say some fettling and fine tuning would vastly improve it, but I turn the key, go to the beach and it has always provided smiles per gallon with our little one running around locally, last year I did a 50mile round trip on the M5 in glorious sunshine, I was expecting to be that guy in something air cooled on the side of the road waiting for the AA, but it performed perfectly!
Areas of improvement, I’m sure there is many to an enthusiast, let’s bear in mind this is a kit car, the clutch is juddery in first, can take a few extra turns on a hot day if turned off for fuel for example, need to apply a couple of pumps of gas but not enough to flood it, a sticky o/ s brake if behind the wheel for a long time, leaves a few spots of oil if left in the garage for a while, i put these niggles down to characteristics, and not addressed them as it’s never let me down
