Description

Ferrari 328 GTS from March 1988 - Original racing red colour and black leather interior. The dashboard, tunnel, pillar and door interiors are also upholstered in black leather. The car is in excellent overall condition both externally and internally; the removable soft top is also in excellent condition and, as are the doors, perfectly sealed.
There are the two sets of original Ferrari keys, the original spare wheel (stored in the front trunk) and the original Ferrari emergency equipment. The car is also fitted with an anti-theft device with immobiliser. The car has a two-year government inspection certificate valid until October 2025. A stainless steel exhaust was fitted in 2008, but the original exhaust has also been retained. Pirelli PZero tyres with new tread are fitted, but date from 2009.
There are some minor bodywork defects in the spoiler and the front part of the grille, and a small crack in the plastic cover of the left front high beam headlight cluster (turn signal/ position lights); on the inside there is slight wear on the left side of the driver's seat backrest.
Other small defects that may be present are typical of a 36 year old car and attest to its state of preservation.
The car has been serviced regularly at Ferrari authorised workshops: 1, 000 km (18/ 03/ 1988), 10, 000 km (28/ 04/ 1988), 20, 000 km (11/ 07/ 1988), 30, 000 km (31/ 07/ 1989), 60, 000 km (22/ 12/ 2004), 70, 000 km (23/ 05/ 2008), 80, 000 km (13/ 06/ 2023).
At all the last coupons the timing belts were replaced. Formally, in Italy, I am the 5th owner although the 4th owner is the dealer I bought it from in January 2005 and who was the car's registered owner for 7 days. The car was imported from Belgium where it was first registered. Then in 1995 the owner brought it back to Italy where it has remained until today. I bought the car from a specialist dealer (who appears as the 4th owner) in January 2005. Ferrari 328 GTS from March 1988 - Original "rosso corsa" colour with black leather interior. The dashboard, center console, pillar trims, and door panels are also covered in black leather. The car is in excellent overall condition, both inside and out; even the removable roof is in great shape and, like the doors, seals perfectly when closed. The car comes with two original Ferrari key sets, the original spare wheel (stored in the front trunk), and the original Ferrari emergency kit. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with an alarm system and immobilizer. The car has a valid government biennial inspection certificate until October 2025. In 2008, a stainless steel exhaust system was installed, but the original exhaust has been preserved as well. The car is fitted with Pirelli PZero tires, which have new tread but date back to 2009.
There are some minor bodywork defects on the spoiler and the front grille area, and a small crack in the plastic cover of the front left light assembly (turn signal/ position lights); inside, there is slight wear on the left side of the driver's seat backrest. Any other minor defects that may be present are typical for a 36-year-old vehicle and attest to its preserved condition.
Regular maintenance has always been carried out at authorised Ferrari service centres, specifically: 1, 000 km service (March 18, 1988), 10, 000 km service (April 28, 1988), 20, 000 km service (July 11, 1988), 30, 000 km service (July 31, 1989), 60, 000 km service (December 22, 2004), 70, 000 km service (May 23, 2008), 80, 000 km service (June 13, 2023).
During all recent services, the timing belts were replaced. I bought the car from a specialised dealer (listed as the 4th owner) in January 2005. I have owned the car since January 2005, so the car has spent more than half of its life in my hands. Since I have owned it, the car has always been kept in a private, heated garage and has never had any accidents; it has never even been used in the rain, and between servicing it has always been carefully checked and moved at least once every fortnight. The car can be described as preserved, as all its components are completely original, apart from the stainless steel exhaust as described above and the consumables. Since 1 January 2008, the car has been registered with the ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) as a car of historic interest.
Certainly, the Ferrari 328 is not as powerful as current Ferraris, but its sinuous lines, which improve on those of the previous Ferrari 308, are a legacy, in many of its aesthetic traits, of the Dino 246. Although it is not equipped with any electronic traction control, its driving is nevertheless very pleasant and, precisely because of the absence of control devices, it is direct, sincere and capable of transmitting the sensations that come directly from the road to the steering wheel and 'seat'.
Given its small size and low weight, it is also very manageable and fun to drive, especially in the curves of mountain roads. Certainly, the Ferrari 328 is not as powerful as modern Ferraris, but its sleek design, which improves upon the earlier Ferrari 308, inherits many aesthetic traits from the Dino 246. Despite lacking any electronic traction control, it is still very enjoyable to drive. In fact, precisely because of the absence of control systems, it provides a direct and honest driving experience, allowing the driver to feel the sensations coming directly from the road through the steering wheel and seat. Thanks to its compact size and light weight, the car is also very agile and fun to drive, especially on winding mountain roads.
