Description

Ferrari 328 GTS from March 1988 - Original racing red colour and black leather interior. The dashboard, tunnel, pillar and door interiors are also upholstered in black leather. The car is in excellent overall condition both externally and internally; the removable soft top is also in excellent condition and, as are the doors, perfectly sealed.
There are the two sets of original Ferrari keys, the original spare wheel (stored in the front trunk) and the original Ferrari emergency equipment. The car is also fitted with an anti-theft device with immobiliser. The car has a two-year government inspection certificate valid until October 2025. A stainless steel exhaust was fitted in 2008, but the original exhaust has also been retained. Pirelli PZero tyres with new tread are fitted, but date from 2009.
There are some minor bodywork defects in the spoiler and the front part of the grille and a small crack in the plastic cover of the left front high beam headlight unit (indicator/ position lights); on the inside there is slight wear on the left side of the driver's seat backrest.
Other small defects that may be present are typical of a 36 year old car and attest to its state of preservation.
The car has been serviced regularly at Ferrari authorised workshops: 1, 000 km (18/ 03/ 1988), 10, 000 km (28/ 04/ 1988), 20, 000 km (11/ 07/ 1988), 30, 000 km (31/ 07/ 1989), 60, 000 km (22/ 12/ 2004), 70, 000 km (23/ 05/ 2008), 80, 000 km (13/ 06/ 2023).
At all the last coupons the timing belts were replaced. Formally, in Italy, I am the 5th owner although the 4th owner is the dealer I bought it from in January 2005 and who was the car's registered owner for 7 days. The car was imported from Belgium where it was first registered. Then in 1995 the owner brought it back to Italy where it has remained until today. I bought the car from a specialist dealer (who appears as the 4th owner) in January 2005. I have owned the vehicle since January 2005, so the car has spent more than half its life in my hands. Since I've owned it, the car has always been kept in a private, heated garage and has never been involved in an accident; it has never even been used in the rain and between servicing it has always been carefully checked and moved at least once every fortnight. The car can be described as preserved, as all its components are completely original, apart from the stainless steel exhaust as described above and the consumables. Since 1 January 2008, the car has been registered with the ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) as a car of historic interest.
Certainly, the Ferrari 328 is not as powerful as current Ferraris, but its sinuous lines, which improve on those of the previous Ferrari 308, are a legacy, in many of its aesthetic features, of the Dino 246.
Although it is not equipped with any electronic traction control, its ride is nevertheless very pleasant and, precisely because of the absence of control devices, it is direct, sincere and capable of transmitting the sensations that come directly from the road to the steering wheel and the 'seat'. Given its small size and low weight, it is also very manoeuvrable and fun to drive, especially in the curves of mountain roads.
