Description
This is a bike I bought a couple of years ago. It was in OK condition but, I have rebuilt the wheels with British stainless steel rims and spokes ( Central Wheel Co), also new wheel bearings. New tyres have been fitted. The forks have been refurbished with new seals. The headlight has been changed for a brighter one, rear bulb is now LED, giving a little more amps to the front. I have fitted a rev meter (tacho), and a small screen , tidied up the wiring and fitted a new winker. I have also added two LED running lights on the forks. (not shown). The tank and plastics have been resprayed. Many bolts have been replaced with stainless. The swinging arm has been powder coated and the rear rests removed. I have serviced the clutch, fitted a new clutch cable and have done two oil changes. It passed its MOT with no advisories. I bought this to replace a series of mainly large British bikes, which were getting too heavy for me to manoeuvre. I Thought that this being electric start and quite light would be ideal, but I now cannot lift it onto its centre stand and would struggle to pick it up if it were to fall over. It looks as though motorcycles have at last given me up, after riding for 68 years. It would make an ideal first bike or one for just pottering around country roads. It starts very easily by kick or electric starter and handles very well indeed. The brakes (Drums back and front) are quite adequate and predictable.
