Here for sale, we have this much overhauled pretty 1980 Series 3 configured as a Station Wagon in popular Blue colour configuration with Limestone wheels and roof. We don’t think you can find a better one on the market right now for this type of money
On the outside, the vehicle has lots of nice features such as the galvanized front bumper overriders and rear mounted handles, rear mudflaps, new towbar, bonnet mounted spare fixings, new doors all round, larger door mirrors to aid visibility whilst driving. The vehicle sits on a set of new cross climate tyres for the best compromise between off and on-road availability, with new wheel bearings all round, new shocks and parabolic springs all round, plus a new breaking system.
To the inside, there are three front seats in black trim, with a matching set of benches to the rear, floor mats cover the footwells. The combination of this along with the rear side windows and alpine lights mean that this is a nice and airy place to be. A load mat is fitted in the rear on the floor. All seats have seat belts, for safely too.
Out on the road, the vehicle gives a pleasing period driving experience, its fitted with parabolic springs and new blisten shock absorbers, the steering damper has also been replaced along with the added benefit of increased economy from the fully reconditioned fairly overdrive, reconditioned gearbox, new weber carb and electronic distributor. The whole braking system has been overhauled with new cylinders and brake shoes all around (including the handbrake) so It stops just as it should, and very period example of a SWB SW.
