Description

Exterior. It's still in its period Russett Brown but I got the roof painted black to set off the wheel arches and black 1275gt stripes. Whilst not 'correct' I think it sets the car off well. Niggles include the leading edge of the bonnet, nsf wing and if you're being fussy the bottom edges of the doors aren't perfect. The car has had a lot of metal work done during my ownership and overall it presents well.

Interior. Standard 1275gt rear bench (no seatbelts) and up front an eBay find of some 70's Corbeau seats in brown cord/ leather suit the car perfectly (in my opinion). A new piano black dash was fitted including a phone holder/ charger along with a new wiring harness housing the original 1275gt clocks. A rear, safety devices cage is fitted to the car.
Niggles- plan was to do a black roof lining as the original white one looks a little tired and to finish the interior a new carpet but these didn't get done. Rev counter doesn't work since putting it back in but all other clocks do. The auxillary water temp gauge hasn't been wired in due to the new wiring harness which drives the dash display. A new inertia reel drivers belt and non interior passenger belt (for kids seat) have been fitted.

Engine/ transmission. 1340cc engine with a 266cam, ported head, 1. 5 roller rockers, manifold lcb, rc40 twin box centre exit exhaust and a single 1. 75in SU carb provide a nice 'roady' engine. Recent MED balanced flywheel and clutch new master and slave cylinders, new duplex timing chain on vernier pulley. The car runs with a petronix electric ignition. A once over from Chris at Crafted Classics Tuning make it a very nice usable engine. 3. 44. final drive and a x-pin diff are fitted. Niggles include the odd little drip of oil, nothing serious though and reverse can be tricky to engage but that's due to the quick release selector coupling. Original numbers short engine is available with the car but would need a rebuild.

Suspension/ brakes. Recent master cylinder, braided lines and front calipers for 7. 9in disc set up paired with ultimax pads. Suspension is fully adjustable all round, a laser alignment and corner weighting was done once fitted for a 'fast road' set up. It drives well on the 12x5 revolution wheels and Yokohama a539s. Shock absorbers are kyb gas-adjust and new road doughnuts are fitted. Front hubs have less than 500miles on them.

Other

As well as the new wiring harness Recent works include new a new pre-engaged starter and a new alternator. An electric fuel pump is located in the boot

Hopefully this covers most of the details.. it's a reluctant sale due to a house move, most of the works have been done with keeping the car for a long time in mind.. my last jobs were to be the final sprucing up now that it's mechanically fresh and set up exactly how I intended but that gives the new owner a chance to put their stamp on it.

And yes, it's a genuine GT!
