Description
VW Split screen troop dog carrier. 1961. Purchased from European Army in 1998. Still mostly in original condition. Left hand drive.
Work done: Converted to 12 volt. A 1968 camper axle put in rear.
Currently having new brakes, carburettor reconditioned.
Requires repair to bench seat. The 2 side doors require welding.
Has original roof rack, convoy light and gun rack at the back. This is a quite unique vehicle as it is still mostly in original condition. It was photographed in VW T2 magazine under "Weird and wonderful vehicles". I am the first owner so far since purchasing it from the European Army. Needs to be used more, hence sale.
