1957 Bedford RLHZ Green Goddess Fire Engine
A fully original, operational and running Green Goddess complete with Coventry pump and lockers correctly equipped for Operation Fresco - some of the hoses have never been used! Comes with a host of spare parts including glass, rubbers, a spare pair of folding cab doors, driver and front passenger seats, spare wheel etc. Also, a set of period uniform tunics and helmets!
Stored under cover and well maintained. She has been out to County Shows, Classic Car Shows, Fire Station Open Days. Has done the London to Brighton run and our local Charity Tractor Run.
Fully restored in 2017 including a full unleaded conversion, replacement tyres (Goodyear G388's) including the spare, which are much better to drive than the original bar grips, plus a whole long list of other jobs resulting in her current and immaculate condition. Extensive documentation of part of her long history also available with her.
Currently insured for £10, 000 and will consider sensible, genuine offers close to asking price.
Can be viewed in South Oxfordshire. Found in the Dambusters Hangar by her previous owner, this Self Propelled Pump was fully restored in 2017 to bring her back to her original condition and presented in fully operational and working order.
She comes with folders of documents and history attached to her.
