Description
Austin Healey 100/ 4 BN1 to M specification
1954
Reg. No: 109 UHT
Chassis No: BN1L220549This delightful 100/ 4 was originally left-hand drive and sold new in Florida, USA, in 1954. It was repatriated to the U. K. in 1990, when a full documented restoration took place, including conversion to right-hand drive. The conversion from left to right-hand drive (or vice versa) is straight forward on Austin Healeys, as the cars were built with all brackets, etc., fitted to be assembled as right—or left-hand drive. You basically just need to obtain the opposing hand dashboard panel, and everything else swops over.
At the time of restoration, the car was upgraded with the fitment of the Le-Mans kit, bringing it up to full 100/ M spec, with the cold air intake box, larger carburettors, higher compression pistons, 100/ M camshaft, louvered/ strapped bonnet, etc.
The car is finished in Old English White with a red leather interior and red weather equipment (hood, side screens, and tonneau cover). It has had regular but minimal use since restoration and is in superb and eminently useable condition. The engine bay and underside of the car are very clean and rust-free. It comes complete with a spare wheel, V5, Heritage Certificate, driver’s handbook, and a nice history file.
This car is offered by Old English Classics.
