After much consideration have reluctantly decided to put my pride and joy up for sale (or swap). Have owned for 4. 5 years but only driven around 2000 miles in that time as just don't get the time to use it and my sons are getting too big to travel in the back when I do have time (absolutely love driving it when I do though).
Not messed around with and completely standard other than having the wheels painted in black when refurbished. Just 61, 300 miles from new - it is getting increasingly difficult to find good unmodified low mileage examples (took me ages to find this one), chili pack so has the all-important LSD and xenons, harman kardon stereo upgrade, sat-nav, multifunction steering wheel, anthracite headlining, rubber mats protecting the original carpets underneath in the front, facelift model (more reliable teflon-coated supercharger and improved interior quality), next MOT due December. Surely an ideal candidate to increase in value if looked after as I have. I had planned to keep it long term but feel the sensible thing now is to get a car the whole family can enjoy together and unfortunately, I do not have the space for 3 cars otherwise I would be keeping this. In my opinion being standard makes this a better candidate for future classic status and gives it more potential for the higher future increases in value.
Major service (including engine flush) around 1900 miles ago, next (oil) service due in 13, 000 miles, only ever run on Shell V-Power during my ownership and I’ve never used it in the rain (polished regularly and kept under a car cover when not in use). Last two MOTs advisory free. Has been very reliable in my 4. 5yrs ownership only needing a new wheel speed / abs sensor (a common issue) and a new battery following lack of use during lockdown.
In no rush to sell as I love this car and it will only increase in value but would like it to go to someone who will take care of it.
£4995 or best offer, would also consider a swap for a fun 4 door saloon car with money either way (would like a fun car to take my sons out in, ideally manual with low mileage but would consider anything interesting that has been looked after). Based in Twyford near Reading.
