1968 Honda PC50, owned since 1999, dry stored and sorn since 2006, used for 3 years as daily rider. Engine starts and runs well, clutch, brakes, wheels and tires all in good condition, had new piston barrel and head in 2004. Pedals are quite tired, replacements are available on eBay. Electrics are all functional but currently running off a 6 volt battery installed under the seat as the stator is no longer producing charge and will need replacing, could still pass an MOT on the battery (a plug has been fitted for easy charging).
Has the optional fairings (very rare, not seen another for sale or at shows with these fitted) and I have a key for the steering lock. Plastic showing some yellowing and has some scratches but generally in very good nick for its age, no damage that wouldn't polish out, no cracks, hasn't gone brittle. Carbouretta cover is a replacement but could only get a red one, has been sprayed blue but is peeling. Headlight has a crack in the lens, shown in photos.
Paint is a spray job over original colour which was a lighter blue, can be seen showing through in some places, chrome is all but gone and has been painted black to preserve the metal underneath, no surface or structural rust present.
Has V5c and documentation from the Honda owners club confirming age etc as I had to reclaim the number plate when I put it back on the road in 2003, number plate itself is worth a fair bit (have had an approx valuation).
Asking £1300, all offers considered. Collection preferred but will deliver within 15 miles if needs be. Given to me by a family friend when I was 12, my first ever restoration project with my dad and then used as my moped until I got a car licence, was stored in a garage from approx 1975-1999, I do not know anything about its prior history.
Overall a lovely little bike that runs and rides well, can easily be made your own. Selling to fund the restoration of a 1962 Triumph and so it has opportunity to be loved and used again rather than gathering dust in a shed.
