Description
Full and very detailed professional restoration carried out over the last few years by a retired ex-Land Rover technician. Body off, full nut and bolt restoration, including a completely retrimmed interior. Fitted with a new O. E. 4. 6 engine supplied by John Eales. Dyno'd at 220 BHP and 309 ft lb torque, but fitted with original 3. 5 pulleys etc so looks identical to the original 3. 5. I still have the original 3. 5 which was running perfectly when removed. List of main work carried out: chassis shotblasted and painted; new engine 4. 6 (John Eales); gearbox/ transfer box fully reconditioned by Hardy Engineering; front and rear axles rebuilt with all new bearings and seals; total suspension rebuild with all new joints and shock absorbers; complete brake overhaul including rebuilt original servo; all new steering joints; all suspension and steering components shotblasted and painted in original factory black; new O. E. wing mirrors; complete retrimmed interior including new headlining; bare bodyshell resprayed in Lincoln Green, the original colour from new; new 5 x Michelin tyres, the fuel system was totally overhauled including new fuel pump, housings and lines The whole car was remarkably corrosion free, so no chassis welding needed and all the body panels are the original ones. Clearly a very well cared for car throughout its previous life. Please have a good close look at the attached photos which demonstrate the high standard of workmanship and originality. She now just needs to be driven, enjoyed and appreciated by a caring new custodian. An original UK supplied Range Rover by Mann Egerton in Ipswich which has been remarkably well looked after throughout its life. This has been an extremely enjoyable challenge and an exciting project for me over the last 5 years to keep me occupied in my retirement with absolutely no expense spared. The end result is an extremely authentic, and beautiful factory fresh classic Range Rover.
