Description
Offered for sale is a fully complete, exceptionally rare Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV, which has been partially restored. The is a genuine RHD car (2-former owners), offered in the beautiful colour option, “Verde Muschio” (AR209), and with only 6462 miles on the clock, and last MOT which proves accuracy.
First sold in the UK in 1970, the Alfa’s first owner kept the vehicle for 7 years, before passing it on to an investment banker in Cardiff, who kept the vehicle for 37 years.
I purchased the vehicle with the intention of restoring her. As mentioned before, it is fully complete, and though stripped, all parts have been boxed accordingly and dry-stored over the years.
£6400 alone (plus £2000 parts) has been spent on the body shell, including replacing LHF front/ rear floor sections. RHF front/ rear floor sections. Rear seat squab section. LH Sill section all parts. RH Sill section all parts. All repairs to A post LH/ RH. All repairs to A post LH/ RH
The work was carried out by Neil Cawthorne, Peterborough, to an exceptionally high standard. The remainder of the body shell is in overall good condition.
The engine was rebuilt many years ago, and I have started it and can verify it “was” running fine.
In addition, the interior has had some work carried, most notably being a retrim of the leather seats and door cards. This work has been carried out to a very high standard.
This Alfa Romeo has been independently valued between £15, 000 and £20, 000. I am not looking for the top price and am open to reasonable offers.
