Description
First registered in Cardiff in February 1951, there have been six owners prior to the present owner. Although no full history is available, there are a number of invoices for various works carried out over the years.
Since I bought it in April 2020, it has been garaged and never driven in the wet. Previous owners have converted it from 6volts to 12volts, have fitted a new carburettor and electric fuel pump, and electronic ignition, and the front seats have been refurbished along with the steering wheel.
Work carried out by the current owner includes both water pumps renewed, a 16" electric fan fitted, a new generator, a NOS starter motor, brakes overhauled, the old oil filter replaced with a modern screw on, and a newer engine replaced the old due to a cracked block.
Chassis and body are all solid, paint good. All electrics work (apart from the clock). Although the semaphores work, indicators have been fitted. The upholstery is very good up front, the rear is also good but has a small tear in the cushion. The headlining is in very good condition. It's a lovely old car to drive, very comfortable seats and an iconic V8 burble.
Reason for sale is simply a need to downsize.
Offers around the asking price will be considered.
