1967 Jaguar E Type S1 4. 2 2+2 Coupé Manual for Sale
This highly desirable and collectable model is a genuine original UK right hand drive, verified with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate. It is one of the rarest E Types manufactured by Jaguar, as only 974 RHD were ever built. However, arguably a Series 1. 5 making it even more rare and collectable.
The more recent lovely shiny respray presents this classic sportscar as a real thing of beauty!
Four previous owners appear to have cherished and cared for this car and it comes with a large file recording all parts and work done over the years. Major restoration work in 1988 and again in 2021 with MOT and service history showing the work done over many years. Mileage recorded as 74, 281 with only approx. 7000 miles on new rebuilt engine.
Bought from a Classic Car dealer in 2023 fortunately this car appears very original and in great condition retaining its authenticity. It is driven regularly and drives and handles very well. This vehicle received a Drive Day Award in 2024 judged best Series 1 2+2.

• Complete bare metal re-spray in Maroon Red, followed by Ziebart Rustproof protection
• New Bonnet
• New engine complete rebuild
• Triple SU Carburettor rebuild
• Gear box overhaul, suspension, driveshaft, joints and steering.
• All Chrome work refurbished.
• Wheels refurbished and sprayed
• New complete Stainless Steel Exhaust System.
• New clutch master and slave cylinders and pipework
• Refurbishment to entire brake system
The very original interior has lovely patina. The seats are all in good condition with no rips or tears in the leather and they still provide ample support. The dash, door cards, centre tunnel and boot area also present similarly well. With just a few odd marks here and there. The roof lining is very good and has probably been replaced at some stage.
It is obvious that a considerable sum has been spent on this car.

• New spark plugs, leads, distributer, coil, points etc.
• All drive and suspension joints greased

This beautiful Classic was adored when I used it as a wedding car to the delight of the bride.
My reason for sale, albeit reluctantly, is compelled by retirement and an exeptional travel plan.
