Description

1965 Triumph TR4A in signal Red.
Totally solid car which has had £1000s spent recently and over its life.
Lovely condition recent respray following front end back to metal refurbishment including suspension rebuild. I have many pictures of work in progress. Solid all through great panel line up. Chassis was stripped of under seal and primed and repainted and looks great 2 years later. underfloor all in great condition and I can again provide photos if wanted.
Engine rebuilt by previous owner and therefore starts ands runs really well with no oil loss good oil pressure and plenty of power. Gearbox smooth and drive train very tight. Rear diff refurbished and new UJs fitted. overdrive replaced and works as it should in 3rd and 4th. Carbs stripped ultrasonically cleaned and refurbished. Stainless exhaust sounds great. Steering and front suspension totally stripped repainted and rebushed. Overall the car starts straight off with no fuss and runs and handles really well. Also has had full nut and bolt check to ensure quality of work done.
Interior very clean with new carpets and leather seat covers. Hood is great too. Not concours but really great condition and together and looks great on steel wheels. Exported to California USA in August 1965 and returned to UK in 1991. Converted to RHD and enthusiast owned since then. Loads of bills through the 1990s through to now including details of full engine rebuild in 2011 and minimal miles since.
i got the car in early 2021 and have really enjoyed owning and driving. In the winter of 2021 i decided to clean up the engine bay which stretched into a full front end strip down and professional respray with the front end back to metal.  And suspension and brake overhaul with pipes replaced. It was very apparent that the car was very solid with the only welding needed being a very small area under the battery. During the winter lockdown I took the opportunity to strip back the underseal on the chassis and repainted it. Again there was no corrosion but I now have peace of mind as to condition. Have been to a few shows and always get great compliments on the condition of the car. Not surprising considering how much it has had spent on it.
The car is garaged when not in use and does not go out on wet days. Sadly I am not getting the chance to drive and house renovation needs a bit of cash so am reluctantly letting it go.
