USA Import, Low Mileage, 1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata
There is an only a handful of genuine LHD Miata’s over in the UK, with this low of a mileage it makes this specific example extremely unique and a perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to stand out! The car has had a full restoration to the underside and suspension components, as well as a service overhaul including a Cambelt and Water pump, along with a 10 Month advisory free MOT, making this car a unique driving experience ready to enjoy!
Bodywork wise, this car is in very good shape. Both rear arches have all original spot welds present, meaning this example has never been welded and is completely rust free! There are very minor spots of surface corrosion on the inner drivers side rear arch that will only need some paintwork to counteract. The sills have also been preserved to a completely rust free and unwelded condition, with only a small dent in the middle of the drivers side lower sill. The paintwork is overall very presentable and shines brilliantly, however there are multiple age related scratches and blemishes showing on various panels.
As mentioned previously, the underside of the car makes this example shine. The chassis has been fully stripped, painted and undersealed, preventing any possibilities of surface rust, as well as removing any that was there before! The subframes have been removed, shot blasted and powdercoated, bringing them back brand new condition, with Brand New replacement front upper and low control arms! During this process, the rear bushes were changed with New IL Motorsport Bushes, as well as Polybush Anti Roll Bar Bushes, Brand New outer track rods, rebuilt front and rear brake calipers and pistons, goodrige braided brake lines all round, front lower brace bar and stainless chassis rail reinforcement. The exhaust has been upgraded to an MX-5 Parts Catback System.
With the low mileage of only 63k and the full suspension overhaul, the car runs and drives perfectly, making this an overall lovely example of an extremely rare USA Import. I don’t have exact figures but there are very few Miata’s over here in the UK, making this an extremely unique car to own and drive, that’s fully good to go!
