Genuine Volkswagen Polo g40 a rare car with only 500 RHD of these were manufactured and around 40 registered on the road.
Iconic classic that is great fun to drive, it has a great power delivery from the 1. 3 supercharged engine which has just benefited from a G-ladder rebuild.
Exterior.
Capri green LA6U paint code, The car is in great condition on the outside, the paint work is in excellent overall condition with very slight imperfections if you are looking very hard. It still has the original rear boot badge, new door and boot striker catches fitted.
The body work is very straight.
Recent front sill and front floor pan welding repair to get rid of small rust areas and deformity from incorrect jacking.
There was some rust under the battery tray, very common on these cars, not enough to warrant new sections so the whole area has been cleaned, treated , painted and sealed.
Interior.
It has the original ‘Le Man’s’ G40 interior in lovely condition, I had the front and rear seat restitched last year, everything is there and complete apart from there is no radio fitted.
Mechanical.
The G40 is in good mechanical order it has just has the G-ladder supercharger rebuilt with genuine twin belts, cam belt and water pump, new radiator, antifreeze fluid change, gearbox selector rod seal, gearbox selector bush, gearbox oil change, engine oil and oil filter change , new fuel filter, air filter and spark plug leads, rear brake compensator valve, front brake pads, brake fluid change, near side cv joint, new battery, Everything has been kept on top of through its time with me. MOT until 25 October 2024.
Extra bits
It has been lowered slightly, braided brake hoses, various poly bushes, full power flow stainless exhaust system with twin exit.
Wheels and tyres.
Original bbs RA wheels with gold centre and polished lip, tyres are nearly new only covered about 200 miles.
It comes with the Vw g40 brochure, lots of service history back to Vw service history and inspections when it was first bought, mot history and invoices over the years.
