1978 Austin Allegro for sale. 1275 A series engine. It's slightly unusual in that it was assembled in Belgium and not Longbridge (maybe why it has lasted so long!) Well looked after, regularly serviced and maintained. Recent new suspension refurbishment including new spheres.
Being the A series engine, parts are still available. Really reliable, we have taken it to Yorkshire and back and many car events around the country with no problems. Although MOT (and tax) exempt we had it MOT'd when we first bought it for peace of mind. It failed on brakes and emissions, we had the brakes replaced and engine tuned. It runs like a sewing machine and stops well. Keeps up with traffic no problems. After checking history, I believe the mileage is 25k and I also have a found a Dyno printout for 114hp!
Has a couple of small rust spots but nothing too serious, video walk round available on request. Original paint that is amazing for its age. Small crack in the windscreen, available from the Allegro club if bothered. Quite a rare solid car nowadays, especially in this condition. Located Hampshire. 3950 offers considered.
