Description
Original Uk bought scooter distributed from Lambretta concessionaires Trojan works Croydon Surrey.
I am the 3rd owner , bought from a motorcycle collector in 1994, that company was originally a sole trader firm that during the ownership changed to a limited company so although the scooter didn't change hands it had an extra owner added to the v5C.
I know this as the company in question was my former employer and i actually collected this scooter from the original owner in Bournemouth in 1987. The scooter sat in a dry storage facility unused alongside around 80 other mopeds / scooters until i managed to persuade the owner to let me buy it in 1994. The company didn't ever use the scooter although i looked after it and regularly ran it around the company yard every now and then to keep the engine from sitting around unused.
Over the past few years i have ridden it only a handful of times, the mileage in 1987 i think was just over 10, 000 miles, i have an old MOT with 10, 130 miles from 1995 and currently it has 10, 300 miles.
It's completely original, cables, electrics, Original handbook, original carburettor, original keys for steering and toolbox, toolkit (unsure if complete)
Engine has never been apart, original brake linings, exhaust, points ignition, ducati voltage regulator etc.
Engine is perfect and rides perfectly, A couple of years ago i went through the whole scooter checking, cleaning and greasing it, as a bit of a lock down project as it had been sat im my dad's garage for a long time. Tyres must be very old, i can't remember ever changing them but they're still in excellent condition ( Michelin )
So although i've officially owned it since 1994, I’m actually it's custodian since 1987, albeit owned by my former employer for seven years.
This is really a bike i should never sell as i'll never find another one, but time goes on and i can't keep everything anymore.
Priced at £7, 450 it's unlikely anyone could invest in a better piece of scooter history.
Cash on collection please.
