Hi and welcome to the listing for this rather special Rover 400.
M424 OOP is chassis number 001 making it the very first example of the revised (2nd generation) Rover 400 to roll off the production line. It spent the first 8 years of its life registered to the Rover group and being on display within the Gaydon Motor Museum.
Finished in Kingfisher Blue, it presents in wonderful condition both inside & out. The paintwork has a lovely lustre to it and there are only a couple of small dents and age-related marks.
The interior is also in excellent condition overall, only showing some slight shrinkage to the driver's seat side bolstering and exhibiting the usual Rover headlining sagginess.
Running and driving very well with no untoward noises or warning lights.
Comes with a good sized history file containing: old MOT's, servicing receipts (including a cambelt replacement in 2019), owner's club material and workshop manual.
MOT'd until March 2025, which it passed with no advisories.
